General informations

The origins of the castle go back into the year 1317.

The today's appearance received the cast after a fire around 1710.

The annex followed at a later time. Until 1945 the messuage was used as residential building. After this time it was managed until 1999 as senior home.

Manor

Owners of the manor were "Von Schaumberg", 1503 Phil. v. Schaumberg widow Barbara, born v. Haiger, and its sons Lorenz and Wolf.

His son, imperial general quartermaster, built the new mansion (something away from the old, which 1856 burned down completely) after a fire of the lock 1710. It is a simple building with rectangular windows and rectangular entry door.
